Sheikha Fatima Park set for $25m renovation works

Abu Dhabi City Municipality's department of municipal affairs and transport will implement the project, due for completion in July 2018

Abu Dhabi's Sheikha Fatima Park, formerly known as Khalidiya Ladies Park, will undergo renovation works imminently. 

The department of municipal affairs and transport at Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) will implement the $25.5m (AED94m) programme. 

Sheikha Fatima Park spans a 46,000sqm area, with 24,035sqm of green spaces. 

Rehabilitation works include the implementation of services such as surface parking spaces, car park facades, basement parking, bathrooms, and a mosque. 

Phased development works will be carried out with the project, starting with the basement, and to be followed by landscaping and architectural works. 

The project started this June and is slated for completion in July 2018.
