IMAX Private Theatre launches in the Middle East
IMAX unveils in-home theatre systems in Middle East, with its regional office established in Dubai
IMAX Corporation has launched its IMAX Private Theatre business in the Middle East, with its regional office established in Dubai, according to Digital Production Middle East Staff.
The company offers three types of fully integrated home theatre systems; Prestige, Palais, and Platinum.
The 75sqm Palais build-out costs $400,000 for the theatre. The Platinum system, which can accommodate up to 40 guests, costs approximately $1m. The smallest version is Prestige, and is about half the size and price of Palais, according to Bloomberg.
Jason Brenek, president of IMAX Home Entertainment, said: “The Middle East region is an enviable luxury hot spot with expectations of high standards of living and some of the most luxurious real estate on offer.
”With the introduction of the IMAX Private Theatre, consumers will now be able to enjoy an exclusive home-cinema experience, customised to suit their unique tastes,” he added.
IMAX Private Theatre offers advanced projection and sound technology, with a floor-to-ceiling, and wall-to-wall IMAX curved screen.
David Hanson, general manager of IMAX Home Entertainment MENA, said: “Each system is tailored to a single consumer. We are excited to introduce this unique cinematic experience to regional clients and to deliver an immersive entertainment experience so intense that it draws out all their senses”.
