Bahrain to hand over 3,000 Hunainya housing units
The project is in line with the royal order issued by King Hamad bin Isa Al-Kahlifa to build 40,000 units across Bahrain
Bahrain’s Ministry of Housing has started distributing contracts to recipients of Hunainya project units on the massive East Sitra Town residential development.
Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier ordered to distribute 3,000 housing units.
The East Sitra Town project is one of the biggest projects featured in the Government Action Plan (GAP), which plans to construct 25,000 housing units by 2018, reported Bahrain New Agency.
Housing Minister, Basim bin Yacoub Al-Hamer, said: "Hunainya project represents one of the most important housing development schemes in the Southern Governorate.
"The distribution of 3,000 units reflects the firm commitment of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa to construct 25,000 units,” added Al-Hamer.
The project is in line with the royal order issued by King Hamad bin Isa Al-Kahlifa to build 40,000 units across the kingdom. Hunainya project and other housing development schemes will hopefully contribute to reducing the waiting lists, according to Al-Hamer.
The Directorate of Housing Services will notify the eligible applicants to finalise financial procedures, and receive the keys of their units in due time.
