The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City approved plans for sections of the capital’s suburb of Bani Yas to receive new internal road networks and parking lots.

Work will soon begin on a $46.8m (AED172m) project to construct an integrated road network stretching past 317 plots in Bani Yas East 11, the municipal statement said.

At the same time, 1,229 parking spaces will be developed in the area.

The project is expected to be completed in about two years.

According to details revealed by the municipality, the internal road network will extend for about 17.5km, while pavements and kerbstones will be set up across 34.8km.

In addition, the required connections will be made for telecommunication, drainage and sewage networks.
