Sharjah Ruler approves 9.9ha cattle market project

Approvals were received following the preparation of designs, consultant commissioning, and commencement of site studies for the project

The Ruler of Sharjah has approved a site for the development of a cattle market in the emirate. 

The 9.94ha market will be thrice as large as the current market in Jubail, WAM reported. 

HH Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, approved the livestock market project's location following the preparation of its designs, commissioning of a consultant, and beginning of studies at the site.

The approval was announced by Eng Ali bin Shaheen, head of the Department of Public Works in Sharjah.

Shaheen said the project site will be shifted to Sajaa industrial area between the Sharjah-Al Dhaid Road and Emirates Road.
