Bahrain: Work begins at 3,100-unit Deerat Al Oyoun

Construction has commenced at Diyar Al Muharraq’s 3,100-unit Deerat Al Oyoun residential project in Bahrain

Construction works are underway at Deerat Al Oyoun in Bahrain.

The 3,100-unit residential development is being financed and constructed by local developer, Diyar Al Muharraq.

Representatives from Bahrain’s Ministry of Housing joined the developer’s senior management team to witness the start of construction on Phase 1 of the project.

Commenting on the commencement of construction activities, Dr Maher Al Shaer, chief executive officer of Diyar Al Muharraq, said: “Commencing construction on Deerat Al Oyoun marks a significant milestone for both Diyar and the Ministry of Housing.

“Work on the project is now in full swing and we are determined to meet the construction standards to deliver a high-quality project as per the ministry’s mandate.

“Deerat Al Oyoun is one of the largest housing developments currently taking shape in the Kingdom and we are proud to be part of this ambitious initiative that will ultimately serve to benefit our fellow citizens and enhance the quality of life,” Al Shaer added.

Deerat Al Oyoun, which is located within the larger Diyar Al Muharraq community, will occupy a total area of 120ha. The residential development will include community service centres and green park spaces.

The project will feature thermal insulation, large living areas to allow the flow of natural like, and two parking spaces per household. The developer stated that it has also made provisions for future expansion.
