Caja San Fernando and Caja el Monte, the two recently merged saving banks, have decided to discard three of the proposals for the construction of their new headquarters in Seville. The proposals scrapped are the 187m tower designed by Japanese architect, Arata Isozaki, the 178m tower designed by Alejandro Zaera Polo, and the 120m (plus the 100m spire) tower designed by Valode & Pistre.

The developers are expected to make a decision on the remaining design proposals over the next few months, in time for construction to begin in April 2007.
