Wanted: Fit-out firm for $3bn Midfield Terminal

Etihad Airways is seeking a contractor to conduct fit-out works at the premium check-in and lounge spaces of Abu Dhabi International Airport's Midfield Terminal Building

Etihad Airways has sought a contractor to undertake fit-out works for the premium check-in and lounge spaces at the under-construction AED10.8bn ($2.9bn) Midfield Terminal Building (MTB) at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The scope of works consists of the fit-out of approximately 30,000m2 of space at MTB, from shell and core to five-star hospitality standards.

Eithad Airways has sought expressions of interest from contractors with track records of delivering fast-track interior fit-oit works in excess of AED200m ($54.4m), preferbaly delivered with in-house mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP), and joinery capabilities.

The deadline for companies fo submit completed expression of interest documents is 2pm on 6 September, 2016.

The Midfield Terminal is set to open on UAE National Day 2017, and will take Abu Dhabi International Airport’s overall annual capacity to 45 million passengers.
