Facilities management service provider ServeU has secured the AED 35million MEP maintenance contract for the new Terminal 3 Concourse 2 at Dubai International Airport.

Awarded by Dubai Civil Aviation, it is thought to be one of the largest contracts of its type currently being undertaken in the Middle East. “Of our current workforce of 3,000, a team of 330 MEP technicians will be working over a three year contract at the new terminal,” said ServeU general manager Stephen Barker.

Computer aided facilities management systems will be employed at a central operations centre in Dubai to oversea the schedule, providing real time monitoring and control.

“That DCA has entrusted ServeU with the responsibility of providing the MEP maintenance on such an important Dubai project is a reflection of the high standards of FM delivery which ServeU has been renowned for over the years. It is a well earned reward for the consistent hard work by my technical team has throughout the past six months in order to win this contract.”

Following the announcement ServeU has received a number of approaches from potential blue chip clients enquiring into MEP maintenance and commissioning services for a number of large scale projects, added Barker.
