Dubai Parks and Resorts (DPR) has selected CMCS’s PMWeb system to facilitate tracking, collaboration, and control across its theme parks.
The web-based project control system, which forms part of CMCS’s Project Management Information Solution Practice, offers a single platform for the management, control, and reporting of project performance.
The team behind the multi-theme park development is using PMWeb for planning and procurement purposes, with the objective of maintaining transparency and accountability across the entire resort.
Commenting on the partnership, Bassam Al Samman, chief executive officer of CMCS, said: “Dubai Parks and Resorts is a destination that faced multiple challenges in sourcing and tracking project information because of multiple clients.
“It was on the lookout for a single platform to ease its workload, and found a perfect solution in PMWeb through which it can gather all the information in one place and utilise it to generate powerful reports.”
DPR uses engineering forms to track submittals, meeting minutes, daily reports, and shop drawings. PMWeb is also helping the project team to track correspondence, workflow, and notifications to assist in online approval processes.
Developed by Meraas, DPR comprises a selection of theme parks and entertainment venues, including Bollywood Parks Dubai, Legoland Dubai, Legoland Water Park, and Motiongate Dubai.
The project will open its doors to the public on 31, October, 2016.
