Riverland Dubai has announced plans to open four event venues before the end of 2016.

The venues – The Riviera Plaza, The Boardwalk Plaza, The Encore, and The Island Plaza – have been designed to accommodate celebrations, parties, and meetings.

The Riviera Plaza and The Boardwalk Plaza will offer outdoor spaces; the Island Plaza has been designed for social or corporate events; and The Encore is a 1,800m2 multi-purpose venue that can accommodate hundreds of thousands of people.

Marcel Hendriks, general manager of Riverland Dubai, said: “We are delighted to announce the new venues at Riverland Dubai.

“These exceptional spaces will be operational once Dubai Parks and Resorts opens this year. Dubai is a vibrant city buzzing with regional and international events all year round, and securing appropriate locations for various types of social and corporate functions can be a challenge.

“That is why we are providing event planners, organizers and end users with a wide range of impressive options that they can customize as they wish.”

Riverland Dubai forms part of Meraas’s Dubai Parks and Resorts (DPR) project, which is due to open in phases from 31 October, 2016.

The multi-theme-park development will feature a selection of entertainment and leisure attractions, including Motiongate Dubai, Legoland Dubai, Legoland Water Park, and Bollywood Parks Dubai.

In July 2016, DPR also announced that work had commenced on its fourth theme park, Six Flags Dubai. The project is due to open in late 2019.
