Yas Beach clean-up sees 3 tonnes of waste removed

Abu Dhabi City Municipality and Tadweer implemented the clean-up campaign, which included waste disposal at landfills by the latter

Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) collaborated with the Centre for Waste Management – Abu Dhabi (Tadweer) to implement a clean-up campaign at the emirate's Yas Beach. 

The Yas Beach Clean-up Campaign was aimed at extracting waste and leftovers from residential areas and beaches in Yas Island. 

Up to 3 tonnes of solid waste was collected as part of the campaign. 

All waste was dumped by Tadweer at landfill sites. 

Municipal employees, residents, and beachgoers participated in the initiative, according to WAM.

The campaign forms part of ADM's endeavour to protect the marine environment and maintain the appearance of Abu Dhabi's beaches.
