Bahrain: Five new residential projects outlined

Bahrain’s housing ministry unveiled plans for five mega residential projects in the country.

The ambitious blueprint featured the construction of five large community living projects such as the Northern Town, the East Hidd Town, the Southern Town and Al-Ramli housing scheme.

The Ministry of Housing outlined a comprehensive strategy in the presence of officials representing relevant government departments, according to the Bahrain News Agency.

The session which included a detailed presentation was attended by Basem bin Yacoub Al-Hamer, Housing Minister of Bahrain.

He was quoted as saying that the new towns feature under the royal order to build 40,000 units and the Government Action Programme (GAP) which includes 25,000 units.

The presentation shed light on the planned residential towns as well as the land allocated for the housing units, public amenities, mosques, public parks and other facilities.

Al-Hamer was briefed about the proposals which were submitted by relevant government departments, cited the report.
