UAE: Transguard nabs 240 deals worth $166m in 2016
Transguard Group has also deployed 4,000 full-time employees to service the contracts it has won during the past seven months, when its current financial year began
UAE-based Transguard Group has been awarded 240 contracts worth $166m (AED610m) during the last six months.
The firm also revealed that its headcount recently passed 50,000 employees.
Transguard has increased its recruitment capacity from a maximum intake of 1,200 staff per month in 2014 to 5,000 per month this year.
The number of employees has grown most substantially within the company's Manpower Services division, followed by its Integrated Facility Services unit.
The latter provides facilities management (FM) services for malls, hotels, theme parks, and other high-profile developments in the UAE.
Transguard Group's managing director, Greg Ward, said the group has witnessed impressive growth during the current financial year.
"Since 31 March, , we have deployed an additional 4,000 full-time employees to service the raft of new contracts that we have secured," he noted. "We are now seven months into our current financial year, and we are confident that we will emulate last year’s outstanding business performance."
Future plans for Transguard include forays into new revenue streams through programmes driven by technology.
"We are also examining new revenue streams with the launch of an app-based cleaning and maintenance company for residents in Dubai, and entering the security technology space with security consulting and integration being added to our existing security portfolio," Ward added.
