The ceremony took place during the software company’s The Year in Infrastructure 2016 conference, which was held in London, UK last week.

The awards are designed to recognise Bentley users who have improved the world’s infrastructure.

Greg Bentley, chief executive officer of Bentley Systems, commented: “The achievements of our users – the architects, engineers, constructors, and operations professionals around the world – are exemplified by the extraordinary Be Inspired Award=winning projects we celebrated last night.

“I heartily congratulate the organisations that were instrumental in the delivery or operations of these truly inspiring projects. Moreover, I applaud all of the project nominees in this year’s awards programme for their contributions to improving quality of life around the globe.”

Bentley’s 2016 Be Inspired Awards featured 25 awards categories spanning a diverse range of segments.

This year’s winners included:

  • Maryland State Highway Administration’s Motor Carrier Division, which won the Advanced Asset Performance Modelling Award;
  • HNTB Corporation, which won the Advancement in Conceptioneering Award;
  • CITIC Heye Investment, which won the Advancing Construction Collaboration Award;
  • Guangzhou Metro Design & Research Institute, which won the Advancing Comprehensive BIM Playbooks award;
  • GHD, which won the Advancing Construction Management Award;
  • Black & Veatch, which won the comprehensive Success Plan Award;
  • Aerometrex, which won the Infrastructure Hero Award;
  • Danfoss, which won the Innovation in Asset Performance Award;
  • Ministerio Obras Públicas de Chile, which won the Innovation in Bridges Award;
  • Morphosis, which won the Innovation in Building Award;
  • Insight-WFP, which won the Innovation in Construction Award;
  • Los Angeles Community College District, which won the Innovation in Government Award;
  • Beijing Shougang International Engineering Technology Co, which won the Innovation in Land Development Award;
  • Unipar Carbocloro, which won the Innovation in Manufacturing Award;
  • Tetra Tech Proteus, which won the Innovation in Mining Award;
  • Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, which won the Innovation in Offshore Award;
  • PowerChina Huadong Engineering Corporation, which won the Innovation in Power Generation Award;
  • Mott MacDonald Bentley, which won the Innovation in Project Delivery Award;
  • Banedanmark, which won the Innovation in Rail Transit Award;
  • City of Helsinki, which won the Innovation in Reality Modelling Award;
  • Costain-Carillion Joint Venture, which won the Innovation in Roads Award;
  • WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, which won the Innovation in Structures Award;
  • Hubei Electric Engineering Corporation, which won the Innovation in Utilities and Communications Award;
  • Roy Hill Iron Ore, which won the Innovation in Water Network Analysis Award; and
  • 4Delivery Ltd & Southern Water, both of which received the Innovation in Water Treatment Plants Award.

Bentley Systems’ Be Inspired Awards were established in 2004, and celebrate excellence within a broad array of infrastructure-related segments across the world.
