Palestine-based Sanad South Cement Grilling and Filling has floated a tender for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a cement plant in Bethlehem.

The grinding plant has been designed to produce three different types of cement using clinker, gypsum, pozzolana, limestone and fly ash.

It wlll have a production capacity of 1.3 million tons per year, and 30% of the product willl be packed and palletised and the remainder sold as bulk.

Permanent power supply will be provided by the national grid whereas temporary power during the construction phase will be the responsibility of the contractor. Construction permits will be provided by the owner.
