Serco Middle East has been awarded a six-year contract to deliver facilities management (FM) services for Dubai Airports.

The deal covers key assets that are part of the Dubai International Airport.

FM services for the airport's Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, as well as its cargo and ancillary buildings will be provided by Serco.

Remarking on the deal, Joe Boyle, managing director of Serco Middle East's integrated facilities services sector, said: "Dubai Airports has chosen Serco after an intense, detailed, and highly competitive procurement process, and we are very proud and excited by this new opportunity.

"Our partnership with Dubai Airports is long-standing and Serco Middle East continues to be a partner of choice as we excel in building strong client relationships founded on quality of service, innovation and trust."

Serco's latest win in the city follows an extension it was awarded on an operation and maintenance (O&M) contract for the Downtown Dubai Trolley System by Emaar Properties in October
