Lootah inspects $14m Dubai Municipality building
The project, located in Al Garhoud district, spans 1.8ha, and consists of a building with 10 floors, in addition to basement parking
Eng Hussain Nasser Lootah, director general of Dubai Municipality, conducted an inspection tour of the new $14m (AED53m) Municipality building, under construction in Garhoud.
He was accompanied by Eng Dawood Al Hajri, assistant director general for engineering and planning sector; Ahmed AbdulKarim, assistant director general for general support sector; Eng Mohamed Noor Mashroom, director of general projects department; and a number of departmental directors and officials and engineers in charge of the companies
executing the project.
Lootah stressed on the need to speed up the completion of the project, which can accommodate the increased number of employees of the Municipality to serve the development in Dubai.
The project, located in Al Garhoud district spanning 1.8ha, consists of a building with 10 floors, in addition to basement parking.
The project is set to meet the needs of Dubai Municipality of expansion in office space within the city centre in an area easily accessible and close to the Municipality as well as the RTA and other government departments.
The construction work is going on according to the schedule prepared for the project, said a company statement.
The project design has been done as per the functionality of the building so that it achieves its goals, and within a modern sophisticated urban environment appropriate to the developmental boom taking place in the city of Dubai.
The designs of the project has also taken into account ease of movement and high flexibility in the interior spaces that are designed as open office system as the building can accommodate changes and developments in the future.
The ground floor has been allocated for reception and customer service.
