First Group breaks ground on fourth Dubai hotel
Four-star hotel, Millennium Place JVT Dubai, First Group’s latest hotel development in Dubai is scheduled to open in 2019
First Group broke ground on its fourth hotel in Dubai, Millennium Place JVT Dubai, located in Jumeirah Village Triangle (JVT).
The four-star hotel is scheduled to open in 2019, with Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, the international hospitality group appointed as the operator.
The First Group’s newest brand ambassador, Indian Test cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar, who has invested in Millennium Place JVT Dubai, broke ground at the construction site.
Rob Burns, chief operating officer, First Group, said: “Millennium Place JVT Dubai marks the start of a new chapter for The First Group as we forge ahead with plans to expand our portfolio of hotels in sought-after districts across the city.
“We look forward to seeing this modern hotel take shape, a property we believe will set the benchmark for hospitality standards in Jumeirah Village Triangle.”
The 34-storey property with an inventory of 599 guest rooms, will have a glass-clad façade.
Millennium Place JVT Dubai has been designed with business and leisure guests in mind, with facilities including specialty restaurants, a spa, business centre, and a rooftop clubhouse with swimming pool, gym, steam rooms, and a sundeck.
