Five minutes with Bob Mangiaforte, Portacool

Bob Mangiaforte, VP for sales at Portacool, discusses his company’s planned product launches for The Big 5

INTERVIEWS, SPECIAL REPORTS, Big 5, MEP

How has business been for Portacool in the Middle East during the past year?

In 2016, we knew we would face some difficult headwinds – mainly due to economic uncertainty. We have had a bit of resistance in the marketplace, but we have identified several new opportunities for growth, and continue to look for others. Through our product-based and geographic expansion activities, we have been able to bring several new items to market. These products have been very well received, and are generating positive feedback from distributors and customers alike. We have secured several early adopters. With this in mind, my colleagues and I are confident that with our planned course of action, we will reach – or even surpass – last year’s success.

What are Portacool’s plans for The Big 5 2016?

This year, Portacool will use The Big 5 in Dubai to introduce four new evaporative coolers. The Portacool Jetstream series of evaporative coolers feature reinvigorated designs that generate significant airflow, and provide superior cooling options for a variety of operating environments. The new products are also equipped with KUUL Comfort evaporative media.
