UAE's SZHP to build $89.8m homes in Ras Al Khaimah
The Bateen Al Samar development will span 39.6ha along the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, and is due for completion in 2019
The UAE's Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme (SZHP) will develop homes worth $89.8m (AED330m) in Ras Al Khaimah.
HH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah laid the foundation stone for the Bateen Al Samar project, which will be developed for Emirati families.
Located off Exit 119 of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, the development will span 39.6ha (396,480 sqm) and comprise 354 units.
Jameela Al Fandi, director-general of SZHP, said the project will be completed by early 2019, WAM reported.
Remarking on the project, HH Sheikh Saud said: "In implementation of the leadership's directives, [SZHP] is undertaking several mega housing projects across the emirates, including the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, to bring about social stability to Emirati families."
