UAE's KIZAD set for $2.7m Kuwaiti plastics plant

Integral Plastic Industries will develop the plant on a 2.16ha plot, with production expected to commence in Q1 2018

A Kuwaiti company will establish a $272.2m (AED10m) plant in Abu Dhabi's Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD) under a Mustaha agreement. 

Integral Plastic Industries will develop the plant on a 2.16 ha plot at KIZAD. 

The manufacturing plant will produce 13,607 tonnes (15,000 tons) of plastic bottles, caps, and packing strip rolls each year. 

Production at the facility is expected to commence in Q1 2018, WAM reported.

Remarking on the project, Khaled Al Saleh, CEO of Integral Plastic Industries said: "Our decision to invest in KIZAD was a result of its attractive business model which features an integrated infrastructure in a prominent location and easy access to regional markets through Khalifa Port."
