Unibeton and iCrete Announce Clean Technology Partnership Agreement

iCrete, a US-based clean technology and concrete company and Abu Dhabi-based Unibeton Ready Mix, one of the largest concrete producers in the region have announced an exclusive licensing agreement.

iCrete, a US-based clean technology and concrete company and Abu Dhabi-based Unibeton Ready Mix, one of the largest concrete producers in the region have announced an exclusive licensing agreement. Under the agreement, Unibeton will use the iCrete system throughout its 22 plants in the region.

“We are very pleased that the largest concrete producer in the UAE will be using the iCrete System for its customers in the region,” said Said Juan Carlos Terroba, CEO, iCrete.

The iCrete System optimises concrete design and production for quality and durability.  The manufacture of Portland cement – the most common bonding agent in concrete – is second only to the burning of hydrocarbons as an industrial generator of carbon dioxide worldwide.  iCrete’s production optimisation system can substantially reduce a project’s cement requirements and its carbon footprint.

UNIBETON, which produces more than 4 million cubic meters of concrete annually, is the main supplier to some of the Middle East’s largest construction projects.
