IronPlanet has inspected more than 100,000 pieces of equipment so far in 2016.

The figure represents a new annual record for the online equipment marketplace.

All of the inspected pieces of equipment were evaluated and certified by IronPlanet’s professional inspectors.

Commenting on the milestone, Matt Ackley, IronPlanet’s chief marketing officer, said: “High-quality, detailed, and meticulous equipment inspections are a core component of IronPlanet offerings to buyers and sellers alike, and that is what differentiates us from all other marketplaces.

“With over 100,000 trusted inspections conducted this year alone, IronPlanet’s IronClad Assurance certification guarantees that buyers receive the equipment they expect, even if they haven’t visited the equipment in person.

“This inspires a level of satisfaction and trust that continues to drive the growth of our online, as well as onsite, auctions around the country and the world,” Ackley added.

As part of IronPlanet’s IronClad Assurance certification, the company’s inspectors visit for-sale items, photographing them and evaluating key systems and components.

IronPlanet boasts a team of more than 250 professional inspectors, who follow a standardised method of evaluation.
