Tadweer and Bee’ah have signed a five-year partnership to integrate and raise innovative waste management solutions while enhancing the environmental sustainability of Abu Dhabi.

The agreement will see the collaboration of Tadweer’s and Bee’ah’s specialists creating a roadmap for innovations and waste management solutions for the eastern side of the city.

While the contract commenced on 4 October, the complete handover and start of operations took place on 4 December, 2016.

The deal represents the first cooperative effort between the UAE’s two leading companies, which aim to increase the diversion rates and contribute to a more environmentally sustainable future for Abu Dhabi.

H.E Eisa Saif Al Qubaisi, General Manager of Tadweer said: “It is only through collaboration that we can provide optimal solutions for environmental sustainability. With a common goal, we are confident that through this partnership we will be able to accelerate technologies that will improve operations and forge solutions for sustainable communities.”

The partnership utilises state-of-the-art smart fleet and waste management system to enhance the collection services of areas served in Abu Dhabi.

The system includes bin asset management, fleet monitoring, route optimization, driver performance management as well as incident management features.

The features reduce the carbon footprint of its operational activities – in addition to the vehicles already being eco-friendly.

H.E Khaled Al-Huraimel, Group CEO of Bee’ah added: “Working with other industry leaders like Tadweer will not only cement our expansion in the UAE, but also raise the standards of sustainability in the nation and a cleaner life for the people of Abu Dhabi and the UAE overall.”

The partnership between the two entities is a broad-based effort to support and accelerate the use of environmentally preferable practices already underway in the nation.
