Dubai Ports Authority (DPA) is planning on sending experts to develop the infrastructure of Egyptian ports, a minister said.

DPA will send a technical mission to the Egyptian capital as an effort by the government to mechanise and link the country’s customs electronically, according to Amal Al Ghad newspaper.

Egyptian industry minister Tarek Qabil met with Sultan Bin Sulayem, Chairman of DPA during a visit to the UAE where the two leaders discussed DPA’s future investment opportunities in Egypt.

Qabil also noted that the government would execute the Egy Trade project, which aims at lowering the cost and time necessary for importing and exporting processes by facilitating the Egyptian trade system in cooperation with ministries of finance and transport.
