Majid Al Futtaim, UAE’s retail and leisure corporation, has completed a $13m (OMR5m) renovation on City Centre Qurum mall in Oman.

The redevelopment work, which began in April 2016, includes the setting up of a 3,150m2 Centrepoint store, Gulf Business reported.

The new store includes Babyshop, Splash, Lifestyle, and Shoe Mart.

The expansion also includes 177 additional car parking spaces, bringing the total number of parking spaces available at the mall to 1,055 spaces.

Watfa Humaid Al Harthy, senior mall manager, City Centre Qurum was quoted saying: “The redevelopment project is now complete and we were able to deliver it in a timely and cost-effective manner.”

City Centre Qurum, which opened in 2008, underwent one round of expansion in 2014 by introducing a seven-screen VOX Cinemas complex and a new Magic Planet family entertainment.

With all the additions completed, the mall now has approximately 26,500m2 of gross leasable area, offering 13 dining options, 91 retail destinations and entertainment options.
