US $40mn MEP deal goes to Drake & Scull

Drake & Scull International (DSI), a mechanical and electrical engineering contracting company in the region, has secured a US $40 million (AED 146.8 million) contract to provide complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) solutions for the Infinity Tower at Dubai Marina

Drake & Scull International (DSI), a mechanical and electrical engineering contracting company in the region, has secured a US $40 million (AED 146.8 million) contract to provide complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) solutions for the Infinity Tower at Dubai Marina.

Starting in January 2007, DSI will manage the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the complete MEP works for the Tower. This will include plumbing and drainage, power and lighting, telephone and data, fire alarm systems and air conditioning.

DSI will also provide ventilation, a building management system, an automatic fire-fighting system, a video intercom system, central emergency lighting, CCTV and control security systems.

At 330m, the Infinity Tower is the highest twisting tower in the world and spirals 90 degrees with views of Dubai Marina and the Arabian Gulf.

Drake & Scull International was established in 1964 and provides engineering services to projects in the power, oil and gas, petrochemicals, industrial, utilities, communications and infrastructure sectors.
