Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) and Honeywell have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to introduce systems for fire safety and prevention in Dubai.

The MoU is part of DCD’s strategy to strengthen the infrastructure for smart operations and advanced telecommunications services that will help reduce response time to fire incidents.

Under the MoU, the two parties will share knowledge and knowhow in safety solutions and techniques, especially fire incidents.

The MoU was signed by Maj Gen Expert Rashid Al Matrooshi, director general of DCD and Norm Gilsdorf, president of Honeywell’s Russia, Middle East, and Central Asia region.

Honeywell will offer training on these techniques, WAM reported.
