Nshama awards Kier-ACC JV a $188m housing contract
The scheme is part of Town Square, a major new mixed-use project being developed by Nshama
A joint venture (JV) between British construction group, Kier, and UAE-based Arabian Construction Company has won a $188.6m housing development project in Dubai.
The scheme is part of Town Square, a major new mixed-use project being developed by Nshama, Construction Index reported.
This is the second project Nshama has awarded to Kier. The British construction company had earlier nabbed a $62.8m award in November 2016, which it is undertaking on its own rather than being part of a JV.
It is also delivering a package of infrastructure works on the Town Square site for Nshama under a contract worth $15m awarded last summer.
The project, to be funded with the support of UK Export Finance, will boast a total built-up area of 17ha including 1,496 apartments, shops, a swimming pool, and a gym.
