Honeywell inncom elements

Honeywell has introduced its Inncom Elements line in the Middle East. Designed for use within hospitality projects, the guestroom controls and wired devices have been designed to complement a wide range of styles, according to their manufacturer. The line includes a selection of products, including thermostats, switches, sockets, and modular projects. Inspired by natural materials such as wood, leather, and stone, the Inncom Elements collection can be tailored to meet specific design requirements, with 16 finishing materials and a range of guestroom functions. www.honeywell.com

AXIS Q35 series additions

Axis Communications recently added several new model to its AXIS Q35 Series of fixed domes for critical video surveillance installations, which features IK10+ vandal resistance, extended temperature range from -50 ºC to 60 ºC, and Electronic Image Stabilization. The latest additions include stainless steel models and offer light sensitivity and enhanced Wide Dynamic Range – Forensic Capture features. AXIS Q3505-V/-VE/-SVE Mk II models provide HDTV 1080p video at 30 fps with WDR, and 1080p at up to 60 fps or 720p at up to 120 fps with WDR disabled. www.axis.com

Simplehuman voice-activated sensor can

A voice-activated dustbin was unveiled at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017, held in Las Vegas in January. California-headquartered company, Simplehuman, unveiled the Sensor Can with Voice Control at the trade show. Simplehuman’s product portfolio already includes Sensor Can, a motion sensor-fitted dustbin that requires users to wave their hands over the unit. The latest product adds voice control capacities to the Sensor Can, which means users may activate the dustbin through commands such as ‘open can’ and ‘close can’. According to Endgadget, Smart Can with Voice Control, when launched this March, will be available in two models. www.simplehuman.com

Honeywell vector occupant app

The Honeywell Vector Occupant App provides digital identification and integrates with core building functions, including access and comfort control, to enhance building occupants’ experience with the touch of a screen. The app’s access control capability eliminates the need for physical cards or fobs and gives users secure access via their smart phones. The app allows facility managers to benefit from immediate insight into where and how comfortable occupants are, so they can make adjustments more quickly and easily. www.honeywell.com

Ffuuss Hand Dryers

Hygiene products supplier Dhofar Global has inked an agreement to become the sole distributor of Ffuuss air dryers in Qatar. The air dryers feature an air heating system that works without conventional resistors and is aimed at reducing energy consumption. The design and placement of the dryers’ air outlets ensure even distribution and skin surface coverage, as well as minimal noise. Ffuuss hand dryers contain HEPA filters; are treated with anti-bacterial additives and fitted with LED lights; and, feature a telemetry system that can detect breakdowns using Bluetooth connectivity. www.dhofartr.com

Triple H LED

Hubbell Industrial Lighting launched the Triple H LED highbay/lowbay in October. The new LED is a high-ambient, high-output, and high-efficacy fixture capable of 148 lumens per watt and a scalable light output of 15,000 to 60,000 lumens. The Triple H LED highbay/lowbay is built to operate in temperatures up to 65°C, and the fixture does not fold back output at extreme temperatures – a common occurrence in industrial facilities. Hubbell Lighting studies show energy consumption can be reduced by 60% through the use of the new fixtures, whilst also mitigating the need for maintenance. www.hubbellindustrial.com
