Ministry develops new building license services

Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) is planning to launch a number of additional services under its single window system for building licenses.
The authority outlined that it will merge and incorporate all facilities delivered by the municipalities’ technical affairs departments, The Peninsula reported.
Included in the new services is an advertisement permit for building licences as the measures required for an advertisement permit are being integrated with the procedures of building licences.
Also among the new services are permits for site preparation and electricity and water metres, as well as a service for issuing permits for temporary offices.
The new services details were shared by Tariq Juma Al Tamimi, director of building licensing complex in the first workshop held for consultancy firms on single window system for building licenses.
Attended by the representatives of consultancy firms and officials, the workshop was organised by the Ministry.
