As Qatar improves its road networks, more temporary closures and diversions are being implemented in an effort to upgrade the system.

The Public Works Authority, Ashghal, announced the implementation of a temporary closure on both directions of Al Tarfa Street, for a distance of 400 metres.

The closure begins at Lebaib Intersection (near Wadi Al Banat Petrol Station) towards Lusail Roundabout and will commence on Thursday 2 February 2017 afternoon, until the early morning of Sunday 5 February, 2017.

This is being conducted in coordination with the Traffic Police Department.

During this time, all traffic trvaelling from Al Shamal Road to Lebaib Intersection can either turn right to Arab League Street (towards Jeryan Nejaima Junction) or turn left to Al Kheesa.

Motorists heading from Lusail Roundabout towards Lebaib Intersection on Al Tarfa Street can use the service road to turn right to Arab League Street.

The closure is being implemented to allow the laying of the final asphalt layer on Al Tarfa Street.

This forms part of the project to develop the roads surrounding Internal Security forces (ISF) camp in Al Duhail.

Ashghal requests that during this time, all road users adhere to the speed limits and follow diversion road signs to ensure their safety.
