New law eases building permit procedures in Dubai
The new law acts to enhance consumer satisfaction and service quality in the field of building permits by establishing a single window for the entire service
Dubai’s ruler has issued a law that will subsequently make issuing and obtaining building permits easier in the emirate.
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has issued Resolution No. 3 of 2017 pertaining to the formation of Dubai’s Committee for Building Permit Procedures Development, according to WAM.
The committee is responsible for enhancing consumer satisfaction and service quality in the field of building permits by establishing a single window for the entire service, ultimately automating the building permits process.
The new resolution will also authorise the committee to list, analyse, revise and develop procedures while unifying the requirements and conditions to ease building procedures in Dubai.
The resolution specifies the procedures for the committee’s meetings, selection of its Vice Chairman and allocation of financial resources.
Assistant director-general for engineering and planning sector at Dubai Municipality, Dawood Al Hajri, will chair the new committee.
