Belhasa Intl nabs construction contract from DSP
Phase 2 of Dubai Science Park will house offices, showrooms, laboratories, function areas, and logistics centres, all in one space
Dubai Science Park (DSP) awarded a contract to Belhasa International Company to build Phase 2 of its warehouses to provide more space options for companies in the science sector.
Phase 2 will house offices, showrooms, laboratories, function areas, and logistics centres, all in one space.
The upper levels will have open roofs to facilitate open-air testing, particularly useful for businesses in the environment and energy sectors.
The project, located in DSP, will add almost 50 units to the existing 25, state news agency, WAM reported.
In January 2016, DSP reported that it welcomed 20 new business partners to its community in the fourth quarter of 2015.
Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, executive director of DSP, said: "Dubai Science Park is a dynamic business community that provides a home to life sciences, energy, and environmental companies of all sizes and serves the entire value chain of the science sector.”
"Dubai’s transformation to a knowledge-based economy has led us to develop a smart and sustainable infrastructure that will set new standards for the science ecosystem."
He continued, "Our mandate is to enable the future of innovation in science and the new project, which spans 2,415m2, will allow us to promote and achieve this.
“Working hand in hand with Belhasa International, we aim to provide a sustainable and state-of-the-art facility, enabling our business partners to develop innovative solutions for the needs of the industry in the UAE and across the region."
Saeed Ahmed Belhasa, managing director of Belhasa International, said: "We look forward to working with Dubai Science Park to support the construction of this new interactive project."
