The onsite temporary engineering offices for Al Reem Real Estate Development and Acacia Avenues were part of four labour cabins and a car that were gutted in a fire on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road on Saturday.

Firefighters were called to the scene of the fire around 11:47am near Fraser Suites in Media City and behind Design House Building, according to the Khaleej Times.

The fire was put out by 2:22pm and was prevented from spreading to other buildings, though strong winds made it more difficult to extinguish. There were no reports of injuries.

The fire was located at the construction site of a 22-floor hotel apartment in the area. The site will be handed over to forensic experts to determine the cause soon.
