Damac inaugurates Trump golf course in Dubai
The development also includes contemporary golf-facing villas, in addition to low-rise apartments featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and large terraces
Damac Properties ingaurated its Trump International Golf Club Dubai at Damac Hills on Saturday, celebrating the official opening with guests of honour Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr.
The 7,205-yard, par-71 course is located just ten minutes from Sheikh Zayed Road and sits at the heart of the 3.9 million square metre DAMAC Hills master development.
Architect Gil Hanse, who also designed the course for the 2016 Olympics, designed the 18-hole golf course.
Hussain Sajwani, Chairman, Damac Properties, said: “The Trump International Golf Club Dubai is an international golf course that just joined the league of the most premium golf courses in the world.
“This achievement is one that certainly transforms the golfing scene in Dubai and across the region, reaffirming the emirate’s position as a global destination for world-class developments.”
The golf course includes a clubhouse, the largest of its kind in Dubai, that features an infinity pool, wellness centre and high-end golf pro shop.
The development also includes contemporary golf-facing villas, in addition to low-rise apartments featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and large terraces. Handover of units in several clusters has already begun.
Damac Hills consists of over 4,000 luxury villas and 7,500 condominiums, in addition to hospitality, luxury shopping, spa and wellness, and leisure facilities, and food and beverage components.
Earlier this month, American professional golfer Tiger Woods visited the golf course and reviewed the project plans with the developer’s chairman.
