Emirati District project set for 2019 completion
The Emirati District’s infrastructure project consists of three blocks with a value of more than $680m (AED2.5bn) including roads and infrastructure works
Abu Dhabi General Services Company, Musanada, detailed the progress of the Emirati District project in Madinat Zayed - Abu Dhabi with infrastructure works underway for blocks 3, 4 and A2.
The Emirati District’s infrastructure project consists of three blocks with a value of more than $680m (AED2.5bn) including roads and infrastructure works.
Suwaidan Rashed Al Dhaheri, acting CEO at Abu Dhabi General Services Company, Musanada, said that preparation of infrastructure, road network, and service paths, including the development of 2,755 residential plots, 37 mosques, 47 gardens and 13 schools are currently on track.
The project is located within a residential community that extends on an area of 1,401ha, including service facilities prepared to serve around 22,000 people.
With a project area of around 14.4 million square metres, block 4 will consist of 5.1 million square metres of 1,196 plots designated for villas. Block 3 will include 7.6 million square metres of 1,559 plots designated for villas.
Initial project works include ground treatment, paving works, main roads, local roads, potable water system, rain water drainage network, sewerage network, irrigation, firefighting, power cables, 22kW substations, natural gas networks and communications.
All project works are being executed to be completed by late 2019.
The Emirati District project is one of the most strategic housing developments in Abu Dhabi that will accommodate the emirate’s population growth and continuing urbanisation.
