Project management and cost consultancy firm, Thomas & Adamson, has hired Enda Heffernan to the role of associate director at its Dubai office.

Heffernan will play a pivotal role in the delivery of cost management services for Thomas & Adamson’s projects across the Middle East.

Having previously held a number of senior positions in other leading consultancies across the region, Heffernan has vast experience across a diverse mix of sectors, including residential, infrastructure, education, healthcare, hospitality, and oil and gas.

Speaking of the appointment, he commented: “I am delighted to join Thomas & Adamson at a time when the business continues to experience growth across the Middle East.

“Their focus on service quality is something that really attracted me to the firm and I look forward to supporting the business and their clients in the delivery of the exciting portfolio of projects that they are engaged in.”

Heffernan is a chartered quantity surveyor, with more than 25 years’ experience in the construction industry and over four years Middle East experience, having worked in Ireland prior to moving to the region.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree with honours from Trinity College in Dublin, Heffernan went on to become a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (MSCSI) in addition to gaining a post graduate diploma in project management.

Zander Muego, director at Thomas & Adamson, said: “Having delivered an impressive portfolio of projects across a broad range of sectors, Enda is well versed in managing all the commercial and contractual issues relating to building and civil engineering projects.

“His excellent foresight, leadership and experience make him an asset on any construction project in the region.

“This, combined with his attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of the quantity surveying profession, make him a great addition to the team.”

Last May, the firm appointed Gareth Nixon to the position of senior project manager at its Dubai office.
