CW Oman Awards 2017: Winning contractor revealed
CWO reveals the winner of the Contractor of the Year trophy, which was presented during the grand finale of the Construction Week Oman Awards 2017
S&T Interiors and Contracting was crowned Contractor of the Year at the Construction Week Oman Awards 2017.
The trophy was one of two secured by the Oman-headquartered contractor at the event’s grand finale.
One member of Construction Week’s panel of industry judges praised the company for having consistently delivered high-quality work, both within Oman and on the international stage.
The accolade follows a particularly active year for S&T, both in the sub- and main-contracting segments. In addition to supporting a selection of high-profile projects in Oman, the company completed its latest London-based development with the Q1 2017 launch of The Lalit, a five-star, Grade II-listed hotel located in the city’s South Bank district.
Other shortlisted nominees for the Contractor of the Year Award included Khobar Integrated Construction, and Larsen & Toubro (Oman).
An independent panel of seven judges selected winners in 12 categories at the Construction Week Oman Awards 2017.
The event was supported by Gold Sponsor, Aecom; Category Sponsors Al Turki Enterprises (ATE), Design Group Engineering Consultants (DGEC), Khobar Integrated Construction, Sarooj Construction Company, Shapoorji Pallonji, and S&T Interiors and Contracting; Exhibition Partner, The Big Show Oman; Supporting Sponsor, the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB); and Legal Partner, Pinsent Masons.
Winners were announced during a gala dinner at the Grand Hyatt Muscat on Monday, 13 March.
