CW Oman Awards 2017: Top project manager announced

Atkins’ Ahmed Al-Jahdhami was crowned Project Manager of the Year at the Construction Week Oman Awards 2017.

Al-Jahdhami was described by one member of Construction Week’s panel of industry judges as testament to ICV and Omanisation, and applauded for advancing operational excellence to a new level

Another judge remarked that it was good to see a young talent coming through the ranks and being recognised by his peers.

Carillion Alawi’s Peter Vosvenieks was named this year’s highly commended project manager.

Panellists applauded Vosvenieks for bringing a wealth of local and international experience to his employer and team. One judge was particularly impressed by the range of developments on which he has worked, in addition to his ethos of continuous professional development.

Also shortlisted for the 2017 Project Manager of the Year Award for Oman were Drake & Scull International’s (DSI) Manaparambil Salim, Hoehler + alSalmy’s Muatasim Al-Kindi, Design Group Engineering Consultants’ (DGEC) Prakash Periannan, and S&T Interiors and Contracting’s Pruthvi Kumar Sringeri.

An independent panel of seven judges selected winners in 12 categories at the Construction Week Oman Awards 2017.

Winners were announced during a gala dinner at the Grand Hyatt Muscat on Monday, 13 March.
