CW Oman Awards 2017: Top residential project named

Atkins collected the trophy for Residential Project of the Year at the Construction Week Oman Awards 2017 for its work on Al Habib Suqoon Garden.

The project has been designed to enable residents and community members to live, play, and shop in the development without creating congestion or reducing circulation in the surrounding streets.

One member of Construction Week's panel of judges said that Al Habib Suqoon Garden for its impressive use of space and design, which he said has resulted in great levels of interaction with the local community.

The judging panel also applauded Atkins’ use of technical insight to ensure that the development was completed ahead of time.

A nomination submitted by S&T Interiors and Contracting for its work on the Permanent Accommodation for Contractors at Duqm was also shortlisted for the 2017 Residential Project of the Year Award.

An independent panel of seven judges selected winners in 12 categories at the Construction Week Oman Awards 2017.

Winners were announced during a gala dinner at the Grand Hyatt Muscat on Monday, 13 March.
