Time Hotels has announced plans to open 10 new properties in the Middle East before the end of 2018.

The UAE-headquartered hospitality company will develop premises across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt.

The planned properties will comprise a combination of hotels and serviced apartment complexes, and will supplement Time Hotels’ existing developments in the emirates of Dubai and Sharjah.

The expansion strategy will take the company’s overall hospitality portfolio to 17 properties.

Mohamed Awadalla, chief executive officer of Time Hotels, said: “Our current pipeline of hotels and residences meets the demands of multiple markets by offering a high-quality stay across our brand portfolio.”

Commenting on the company’s serviced apartment complexes, he added: “Since launching the Time Residence brand, we have seen demand for quality and value from the residential apartments, supported with facilities, which have added value across the region. Business travellers often look for a home-from-home environment, and leisure visitors, especially families, look for less formal hotel accommodation.”

In the UAE, Time Hotels plans to add to its Dubai portfolio, and extend its footprint into the emirates of Ajman and Fujairah.

In February 2017, the firm launched Palm 1 Time Residence, its first project in Ajman. The launch of Fujairah’s Platinum Time Residence is scheduled to take place later this year.

The company will open three additional hotels in Dubai: Time Asma Hotel, Time Express Hotel Al Jaddaf, and Time Royal Hotel & Spa. The latter will be the firm’s first five-star property in the Emirates.

In Saudi Arabia, Time Hotels will open the 61-unit Time Beach Villas Resort in Jeddah, the 137-key four-star Yasma by Time Hotels and Resorts in Qurayyat, and Yasma by Time Express Hotels in Riyadh.

Time Hotels will make its Qatari debut with Time Rako Hotel in Doha. Located in the Al Wakra area, the 102-key property is scheduled to open in Q3 2017.

The company also plans to open a property in Egypt before the end of 2018.

In total, Time Hotels’ expansion strategy will see the establishment 61 villas and more than 840 hotel rooms. The company will release full details of its upcoming projects at Arabian Travel Market 2017 (ATM 2017), which will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre from 24-27 April.

“It has been a busy year for Time Hotels with a raft of properties announced; several of them [are] due to come online within the next 12 months,” Awadalla commented. “We have been very strategic with our openings by identifying and assessing the demand within the market, and implementing the most suitable brand from the Time portfolio to best match customer demand.

“We’re excited by the prospects this year brings and look forward to adding further to our portfolio,” he concluded.
