UAE: Emrill wins Dubai Healthcare City FM contract
As part of the deal, Emrill will provide housekeeping and technical MEP services, and preventative maintenance, for DHCC-owned buildings and infrastructure
Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) has awarded an integrated facilities management (IFM) contract to Emrill.
Under the terms of the deal, the UAE-headquartered facilities management (FM) company will provide housekeeping and technical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services, and preventative maintenance, for DHCC-owned buildings and infrastructure.
The contract, which covers both DHCC free zone areas, will extend until the end of 2019.
Alex Davies, managing director of Emrill’s IFM business, said: “We are delighted to be awarded this prestigious contract with Dubai Healthcare City.
“We are committed to delivering innovative technologies and ideas that extend far beyond the standard FM service.”
DHCC stated that Emrill was awarded the contract based on its “market expertise and customer-focussed approach”.
The agreement will cover both phases of DHCC, which is the largest healthcare free zone in the world.
Located in the Oud Metha area of Dubai, Phase 1 of DHCC occupies an area of more than 37ha, and is dedicated to healthcare and medical education.
Phase 2, which is located in Al Jaddaf, occupies an area of 176.5ha, and will focus on wellness-related projects.
“Identifying the healthcare sector as a significant growth area, Emrill has developed the specialist capability necessary to deliver world-class IFM services within the sector,” Davies added.
Emrill will provide IFM services within DHCC’s common areas. The free zone’s clinical and non-clinical partners will be responsible for maintaining standards within their respective facilities.
