Emaar Hospitality Group announced on Monday that it will be launching six new hotels across the UAE and abroad as part of its strategic expansion plans.
The group will be expanding with new hotels and serviced residences in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Egypt, under the Address Hotels + Resorts, Vida Hotels and Resorts, and the midscale Rove Hotels brands.
Announcing the new projects at a press conference in Dubai, Olivier Harnisch, chief executive officer of Emaar Hospitality Group, said: “Our hotels have developed differently than the rest of the market, much stronger than the rest of the market, with occupancy rates above 85%. Last year, we recorded a robust revenue of $457m (AED1.68bn), %14 higher than in 2016.”
Emaar Hospitality Group’s new projects include Address Dubai Creek Harbour and Address Residences Dubai Creek Harbour in Dubai as well as four new projects operated under the Vida Hotels and Resorts brand. These will include the Vida Dubai Creek Harbour, Vida Dubai Marina and Vida Residences Dubai Marina.
The company also announced that it will be opening its Rove Trade Centre hotel in the next couple of weeks.
Vida Hotels and Resorts marks its first expansion into Abu Dhabi with a management contract to operate Vida Beach Reem Island Abu Dhabi and Vida Residences Beach Reem Island Abu Dhabi, both for Aldar Properties.
Part of the beachfront Marassi master-planned development by Emaar Misr in Egypt, the group will also be launching the new Address Marassi Beach Resort and Address Residences Marassi Beach Resort. Emaar Hospitality Group has already signed a management contract to operate Address Marassi Golf Resort + Spa in the same master-development.
Harnisch added: “[The Group] is planning to expand into the Chinese and Indian markets this year, which are very big source markets for us and global gateway cities.
“We are currently looking at both primary and secondary cities in India to open our hotels, and believe that our three hotel brands will be very successful there.”
Emmar Hospitality Group currently has 20 projects under development across the UAE, Turkey, Egypt, and Bahrain with 10 operational hotels and three serviced residences.
