Hormann has announced launching two new multipurpose door systems called MZ Thermo and MZ ThermoPlus.

According to the company, the new products are part of the company’s range of functional doors for homes, and boast up to 49% better thermal insulation than conventional multipurpose doors.

MZ Thermo and MZ ThermoPlus are available with or without glazing, and in different colours and décor surfaces, the company said in a statement.

The company further noted that MZ ThermoPlus features a 67mm-thick door leaf and a UD value of up to 0.87 watt per square metre kelvin (W/m2K).

Commenting on the new products, Darius Khanloo, managing director of Hormann Middle East and Africa, said: “If one is looking for basement and side doors with the same thermal insulation as entrance doors, then our multi-function doors MZ Thermo and MZ ThermoPlus are the right choice.”

The MZ Thermo and MZ ThermoPlus are reportedly robust and stable owing to the fully filled door leaf. The door can be adjusted using three-way adjustable guide rollers.

On request, the MZ Thermo can come with glazing to let daylight into the room. Hormann noted that the glazed versions have double-insulated glass, thus offering excellent thermal insulation on the interior and exterior.
