wasl Asset Management Group has launched its ‘Hyatt Centric The Palm Dubai’ hotel project in collaboration with an affiliate of Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
Located on The Palm, the project includes a twin 15-storey hotel with 217 rooms and 116 serviced apartments with fitness centre and spa, four restaurants, meeting facilities, and beachfront access.
HE Hesham Al Qassim, CEO of wasl Asset Management Group, said: “This is the seventh hotel we have developed with Hyatt but the first from the Hyatt Centric brand, which means that we are offering something completely new in the region with this project.
According to figures published by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), the number of visitors arriving in Dubai in 2016 rose to 14.9 million from 14.2 million a year earlier, placing the emirate as the world’s fourth most visited city.
The total number of hotel rooms available also increased by 5% to 102,845 from 98,333 a year earlier, DTCM reported.
Peter Norman, senior vice president acquisitions & development at Hyatt International (Europe, Africa, and Middle East), said: “Hyatt Centric The Palm Dubai does not just target leisure tourists looking for beachfront hotel accommodation, but was conceptualised keeping in mind Dubai’s Tourism Vision 2020 as well as the World Expo 2020 – when the city is expected to attract over 20 million visitors from across the world.”
