RTA distributes meals to construction workers

600 meals were offered to construction workers by RTA on Labour Day, and 150 workers and drivers were treated to a fun day Bollywood Parks

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) celebrated the International Workers Day, observed annually on 1 May, by distributing 600 meals at one of its construction sites in Dubai. 

HE Mattar Al Tayer, director-general and chairman of the board of executive directors of the RTA paid a visit to one of RTA’s construction sites where he met labourers, according to Dubai Media Office.

Al Tayer commended the efforts put in by workers and paid tribute to their dedication and working for extended hours to accomplish the projects.
“These categories are worthy of commendation as they play a key role in making our life easy. They directly or indirectly contribute to the development drive witnessed by the UAE and Dubai. 

“The RTA always seeks to nurture a healthy and environment that helps them increase productivity and at the same time adds to their convenience and happiness,” he said.

The RTA also organised a picnic for 150 affiliated workers and drivers at Bollywood Parks, Dubai Parks and Resorts.
