Honeywell sheds light on mosque energy savings
The company is presenting its BMS and energy dashboard portfolio, including the Honeywell VisionPRO 8000 thermostat, at Dubai's Mosque Design and Development Summit
Honeywell is presenting its building management system (BMS) and energy dashboard portfolio, as well as the Honeywell VisionPRO 8000 thermostat, at the Mosque Design and Development Summit on 3 and 4 May, 2017, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Dubai.
The VisionPRO 8000 thermostat is aimed at mosques.
The thermostat uses GPS location coordinates to calculate prayer times and automatically adjust temperatures.
Its pilot installation was carried out at the Al Tawba Mosque, Sharjah, over a period of six months between August 2015 and January 2016.
The exercise demonstrated year-over-year energy savings of 37%, and these findings are endorsed by the Sharjah government’s Department of Islamic Affairs, which oversees mosques in the emirate.
The company's energy solutions portfolio and BMS include systems from Alerton and CentraLine.
