Tell us a bit about your company
JPW Consulting Group offers a unique blend of engineering expertise. We are engineers servicing the construction and engineering sectors specialising in mechanical, electrical, fire safety, control and “specialist” systems. JPW Consulting Group has the capability to provide integrated design solutions, project management and validation services for tall buildings (commercial, residential, mixed properties), healthcare, mass transport in air and rail, and other sectors. JPW Consulting Group provide solutions and recommendations that comply with international specifications, standards, and codes.
What was your main motivation for signing up as a sponsor this year?
JPW Consulting Group is a relatively new but unique player in the UAE/GCC market. We want to introduce ourselves to the MEP industry in the region, create an awareness of ‘who we are’ and ‘what we do’, and explore business opportunities both in the UAE and the wider region.
What are you looking forward to the most at the conference this year?
We look forward to the discussions on ‘Real’ energy optimisation and understanding the true operational costs of building services. Knowing about regulatory and Contractual Requirements and mitigating risks. And finally, discussions around the new codes for Fire & Safety.
What have you been up to this year business wise?
We have been involved in buildings condition survey, utilities cost review, and reduction recommendations for existing buildings in the UAE, HVAC upgrades and retrofits, value engineering, and fault findings and rectification.
How is the market shaping up? What market trends have you noticed this year?
We have noticed that the market is still competitive in terms of fees and the concept of value seems to have been lost. Moreover, the misconception of sustainability still remains. On the plus side, energy optimisation and efficiency of operations is becoming a focus.
